It sure was strange. What's more is the conversation between Ian, May and the Queen. Change that part; Mistress May I understand, but a knight like Ian will not be behaving and talking like that with the Queen. One last thing, the introduction is a bit vague. Mention the sword in the mouse's hand, it's easier for the reader and helps one to understand the situation.
