Why do gays get engaged so fast?

two of the guys I have dated (only started dating guys in Oct.) have gotten engaged. One I stopped seeing in Dec. and the other I stopped seeing at the end of Feb. Both are engage, one has only been with his 'fiance' for only two months. A lot of my gay friends hop on the engagement band wagon fast too, what the hell is up with this?
