My grandmother died. What happens to the fines which are in her name?

I have been driving my grandmothers car, and i copped a few fines in the last few months, but they went under her name. I hadn't gotten around to paying them yet, and she passed away last week. What happens to these fines now? My father is her only child, and her only asset was her home which is not being sold, and in a few weeks my dad will be the rightful owner. So do they just go away or?
