My dog ran away, will she come back?

i know this isnt really a yes or no question but i wonder if anyone else had a experience where their dog ran away and came back, it's only been a day but i have a feeling because i live in a bad neighborhood someone snatched her up and will really not care if she gets home to her rightful owner, i have posted on Craigslist and local shelter website
